Steller Student Award

This exciting program is designed to recognize the accomplishments of our amazing SCUSD students. Too often, images of youth in the media focus on the negative actions of a few.  But we know our students are achieving amazing things each day. This program aims to celebrate the many ways our students excel, grow, and contribute to their school and community. The Stellar Student Award is only given to approximately 20 students per year.  In a district with more than 40,000 students, this is award is a tremendous honor.

Stellar Students may be nominated by SCUSD teachers, faculty and staff. All students within our district (grades k-12) will be eligible. Stellar Student award recipients will be recognized during the beginning each SCUSD School Board meeting. These K-12 students are nominated by the SCUSD community for their excellence in the following categories: academics, leadership, sports, service, citizenship, and public advocacy.

If you know a student that you’d like to nominate for this recognition, please complete the Stellar Student Nomination Form. For more information or if you have any questions please contact Mark Carnero at Mark-Carnero@scusd.edu or 916-643-7974. Mark will contact you and your student if selected for the Stellar Student award.
