The Targeted Prevention and Intervention Unit understands the importance of safety and support for all students and acknowledges the challenges and barriers that youth face on a daily basis. Students who have been victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE) face additional challenges in the school setting. Our work is informed by survivor and youth voice with the goal of providing prevention and intervention services so that no student falls through the cracks. Using trauma informed practices, all at-risk or identified CSEC students within SCUSD have access to the following:

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Advocacy

  • Mentoring

  • School Re-Entry Support

  • Case Management

  • Referrals to community providers

  • School based support services

  • Small Group Sessions

  • Peer Mentoring

  • Training

  • Crisis Assessment

  • Safety Planning

If you have a student who may need some additional support or guidance around CSEC related issues, please submit a referral HERE
