ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Summer @ City Hall (S@CH) program is a collaboration between the City of Sacramento's Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment, Youth Division, Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD), Twin Rivers School District (TRUSD), Natomas Unified School District (NUSD). This civic engagement program opportunity invites current high school Sophomores and Juniors of SY21/22 to apply for this summer 2022 virtual experience. Applicants must attend a SCUSD, TRUSD, or NUSD high school OR live within the Sacramento City Limits to qualify to apply for the S@VCH virtual experience.
The S@CH program is a six-week summer learning experience that provides high school Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to learn about local government processes and how to become an active member of their community. Students are supported throughout the program by a variety of team members including credentialed teachers that deliver a curriculum focusing on civic engagement, local governmental structure, and youth development.

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION FOR THE 2022 SUMMER @ CITY HALL PROGRAM
The Summer @ City Hall program (S@CH) is a five-week program with regular instructional classroom sessions Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM -12:00 PM. In addition, students are required to complete a 42-hour wellness component that includes various workshop topics areas including career exploration & readiness, financial literacy, personal mental wellness, resume development, and various subject areas. These workshops will be offered in the afternoons at various times of the day.

Upon completion of the program, participants will receive five high school elective credits (students not attending partnering school districts receive a letter of completion for community service hours) and a monetary stipend.
