For current 6th-7th grade students.

• 24 days of programming.

• The SummerMatters@SCUSD-Middle program will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm from June 23 to July 25.  No program on July 4.

• Academic intervention and enrichment (8:00am-12:00pm) to minimize learning gaps & reduce summer learning loss.

• Students will be provided with a daily breakfast, lunch and snack as a part of the program.

• Each of theSummerMatters@SCUSD-Middle sites will serve as a community school to allow students from ALL SCUSD schools to enroll.

 

All programs will consist of the following:

• Middle school participants will engage in sports camps and academic enrichment activities certificated teachers to strengthen and equip students with skills that will transition into the next grade level.

• Opportunity to participate in enriching structured learning experiences and special events.

• Opportunities to learn and practice cooperative and collaborative learning skills.

• Opportunities to engage and work with various community learning partners.

• Opportunities to learn, practice, and develop social and emotional skills.

• Opportunities to engage in daily physical activity.
